What We Bake

Our hand-shaped rustic loaves are baked fresh daily in our French stone-hearth oven. Our breads are slow leavened and made from scratch. With skilled hands shaping each loaf, we can achieve a better crumb (interior texture) than machine-shaped breads used by more commercial bakeries. We minimize the use (and taste) of commercial yeast, relying more on our own natural starters, and we let the breads rise slowly so that the flavors of the grains can fully develop.

What’s more, most of our breads are fat free and heart healthy. We do not use artificial flavorings, preservatives, mixes or bases. At Avenue Bread, we believe that living well begins with eating good bread.
